Hey Coffinmaker, ya got possibilities of hitting the 'Hit Parade', maybe slim to none, but it's there, just "continue to persevere". "A little dab will do ya"! Brylcream---back when that stuff was 'thee thing', several of my classmates and I figured if a little dab would make the girls swoon over ya, more was better. Used to slather that stuff on pretty heavy. All it did was made for greasy hair and notification from my Mom that it made for messy pillow cases, stains on the furniture and orders to refrain. Was around 59-60' time frame, late elementary grades, maybe 7th. Yah, loved the smell of Brylcream in the morning!!

Corrected spelling 'Brylcreem'! Yes they do, looked it up on yahoo, sold at Walmart, Amazon, on line, other places. Don't think I need it anymore. Make the top of my head look like a greased cue ball, would like just a wiff of it for old times sake though. Who 'started the hijack of this thread anyway-not much to do with how tight yer cones are-have to plead guilty though by participating. ;D

I use very little to no torque. Just a slight bump when finally seated.
I like to use a small amount of some sort of grease on the threads before I reinstall them after a good cleaning.
Use what works well for you.
This is my best suggestion.

I have been using choke tube lube on my (C&B) nipples with good results=no sticking. Not quite as messy as the nickel based (silver)  anti-seize. I was using Gorilla Grease which is a pretty color, and smells nice(very important for firearms maintenance) but the choke tube lube is more economical and seems to do as good of a job. Anybody else try cleaning C&B cylinders in an ultrasonic cleaner? Not very "old west", but damn effective!
