     HI
  I AM NEW TO THE FORUM...I BOUGHT A 1860 SPENCER CARBINE...AWHILE BACK. THE SERIAL NUMBER IS #48475, IS THERE

  SOURCE SOMEWHERE THAT I CAN FIND LISTING OF THIS SERIAL NUMBER AND FIND OUT WHERE IT MAY BEEN SHIPPED TO?

  I HAVE HAD A GUNSMITH LOOK IT OVER AND  HE SAID..IT WAS IN GOOD SHAPE AND COULD BE FIRED. THE CALIBER IS .56-.56.

  I WOULD LIKE TO SHOOT IT. IS THERE A PLACE THAT MAKES THE .56-.56. I UNDERSTAND THE PRICE OF SHELLS MAY

  BE HIGH.. CAN SOMEONE OUT THERE..GIVE ME SOME ADVISE...ON SHELL AND THE SERIAL NUMBER. THANKS AHEAD OF

 TIME....Old1860       ::)

I just bought a 1860 Spencer and joined this site to get more information.  Doesn't look like much action here.  Will stick around and read for a little while.

You gentlemen should try the Spencer Shooter Society forum.  You'll find it in the "Forums" section.  You're more likely to find the information you're looking for there.
