It seems to be priced about right. I'd like to see one in person.

Does it have the same short stroke as the 73?

I posted on the SASS wire about this gun being just another copy .
With out  Much availability of spare parts.
A bunch of pards got all butt hurt about me calling it a Copy.

It is what it is !

Personally I will stick with my Uberti copy .
Parts are available everywhere.

I saw and handled one at my local gun shop Friday. I was surprised as I didn't know they were available. Very smooth action and a shorter stroke than a stock Uberti. But not as short as aftermarket kit on a Uberti. It seemed very heavy, Much heavier than the Winchester 73 next to it. Excellent fit and finish. $1150

While I am quite happy with Uberti 1860s, I am also happy to see Winchester enter the fray.  Competition is a good thing.

I'm sure they will feel better than the Uberti out of the box because they are not oversprung as are the Italian guns.  But my main criticism of the '66's is the same as the Miroku '73's.  They screwed the pooch with the markings on the barrel (and on the top tang of the '73).  They had a chance to do it like the historical guns, even could have put the Kings Patent Improvement markings on the barrels (which only the Cimarrons have), but no, they made the markings large and ugly.  Oh well.
