Mine has a mushy trigger reset.  I put a colt spring in it that reset the trigger firmly but the bolt would rise at half cock.
Has anyone here dealt with a similar issue?  This revolver has a transfer bar.

Same problem I had, if it's a new part. You're gonna have to get it fitted to your gun

GS,
The bolt section of the new combo spring has way too much tension. With the cyl. out, push the bolt down into the frame with your finger. It should be relatively easy to do (it only needs about 3-4 lbs tension}. Installing a thin washer under the spring will lighten the tension some and give you a better starting place for adjustment. Also, spreading the left bolt arm slightly to increase tension against the hammer may fix your early bolt drop. If it does, keep a close check on the timing for a change in the drop (earlier and earlier).  This could be a sign of a bad wear pattern being exacerbated (can I say that here?! Lol) by a stronger spring than what you had in it.

I fear I must bow to The Dragoon.

I have ZERO experience with the Pietta transfer bar guns.  Nada.  Zip.  Nutting.  Haven't even played with one.  Then WHY you might ask did I bother to post.  Go ahead ....... Ask.  OK, it's cause I'm BORED this cold, grey, stormy, wet, ucky Monday.

I decided to be a little annoying.  Just a little annoying.  Not a LOT.  A tiny bit ....... ANNOYING!!

Happy Monday

A wolff wire spring seemed to fix it.   Thanks for the replies.
