So I don't Hi-Jack Abilene's thread considering a faint possibility for a Cimarron special order of 44 Special chambered Henry rifles.  I just thought I'd throw in, Mike Harvey ought to make it a Transitional Side Loader, with the same deep scoop Ladle Winchester used on the final Transitional before making the 1866 and the it was the same deep scoop ladle used in the latter versions of the 1866.

You know heck, as long as I'm day-dreaming, I might just as well ask for the whole enchilada.  Rice on the side??  Couple of 44 Special conversions or Open Tops and "Bob's yer Uncle."  Of course, I'd add a short cartridge "Smith Shop" Carrier Block and shoot Russians out of it and the 44 Special/Colt/Russian chambered Open Tops.

Oh for JOY!!

Not feeling an awful lot of support here for a nifty Side-Loader Transitional Henry here.  Let's be seeing some enthusiasms here.  Couple of hearty "Hoorahs" would go a long way yano.

When I first saw those, ( Smith Shoppe transition ) I was WOW , I whet so far to buy back my 1st. Henry a 1980 date code.
I had sold in in 88 and bought it back 20 years ( it had not left the guy's safe in the 20 years ) later.

Planned to send it to Happy Trails , just never got around to rubbing the CLAMS needed with time frame allowed  :-\

I have a Seirēn  singing her song now " A 66 in 44 Special "   it is a comely tune,  so alluring,  alas I have no CLAMS.  :(

when planets align...do the deal !

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:
1. Jesus Christ
2. The American G. I.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom."
