What an evening. Stupid semi feral cat got in the house. All the way back into the bedroom. Just finished up a long winter evening: 1. Chasing the cat. 2. Cleaning up the mess made chasing the cat. 3. "Sort of" fixing the broken lamp.

First, get the broom handles we use to hold up the old fashioned windows, then poke the cat from under the bed. Then poke it from under the dresser. Next behind the gun safe. Then back to the bed and repeat. Finally got it out from the bedroom, ran in the laundry room behind the washer. Blocked the door back into the house, then poke it from behind the washer to the dryer, then out the door!

On the plus side, had no idea what to get the wife for Christmas. The old "touch lamp" with the John Deere "D" tractors on the shade was leftover from the bachelor days anyway. I guess something different will take it's place now.

Morning y'all.
Coffee is hot.

New lamp for Christmas.

'Tis 19 and windy. "Blustery. Not as cold. Partly cloudy in the morning then clearing. Some blowing and drifting snow. Highs in the lower 30s. Southwest wind 15 to 25 mph."

I'm not sure my blood is thick enough to move further north!  It is a pleasant day on the coastal plain.

Afternoon all.

Was 15 this morning when I headed to work.   20 When I got home.  34 now, with clouds.

Didn't finish my power steering.  I ran out of fluid to flush with. :o  I had three bottles.

Just got back from the store with the last of the groceries for chow tonight.  Salisbury Steaks.

Really, neither one of us is a very good gift buyer. As long as we can afford it, we just get what we want when we want it. She doesn't try to buy any gun stuff for me, and I don't try to buy clothes, purses, or jewelry for her(unless she goes with me when we go to buy it).

Well it got to 45F here today, looks like close to 50 on Christmas with a possible thunder storm.  Would really suck to get hit by a tornado on Christmas, not uncommon on Easter or Mothers Day or even Fathers Day.

Should have been at the 2010 one in July, a front came through, go to 45F and no one had enough blankets.  We all was up early drinking coffee.

I wasn't there for that one, I remember the '09 at Ft Hartsuff in October. Left Missouri at 60 degrees, to Nebraska with 20's-30's and snow, then back home to 60's.

Then there was that wind-rain storm that interrupted supper a couple of years ago.

Yes, blew over rail cars south of us.

No snow here, supposed to get up to the 50's. I see a noisy day ahead. Chainsaw and tractor. Then maybe some flying lead. If the temps stay up through my Federal employee 3 day weekend, I think Mr. Harley D. will come out of his shed at some point.

Four-Eyed Buck

Supposed to get into the 40's today with rain. Been up since 3 A.M., problems with the SIL :-\
