Those critters like to cache food. Human remains included.

A good reason to stay at a hotel during the Grand Muster! :D

You trying to scare people from the camp so you don't have to cook so much!? ;D

Delmonico

They like their solatude also, our camp has enough activity to not worry.

Yeah, just because they've been known to take on multiple humans when they perceive a threat to their food stash shouldn't be any reason to be worried about that midnight trip to the head/latrine/outhouse. Alone.

Here kitty, kitty, kitty! :D I don't know what's worse, the big cat or the Schofield Kid showing up.

That hotel's sounding better all the time now. ;D

Delmonico

Attacks are rare and Jerry's mowing would be enough to keep them away, I bedroll it at a couple places where they are known to be.

Well of course the big cat will stay away from you and that 2 foot long steel flapjack flipper. Unless it has a death wish and wants to become dutch oven kung pao kitty :D

Pitspitr

Yesterday was opening day of deer season and I was really hoping to see him.
We've had reports of them in the area since about 2000 but I've never seen one in the wild.

There's supposed to be a few around here, too, but I haven't seen one, nobody I know has any game camera pics either. There's a few black bears in the area, though. Haven't seen one yet, but I have seen some pictures.

that's the second one that's been caught on camera in southern Loup County and third in the area. A couple of years ago someone caught one in a coyote snare

Mustang Gregg

In the Table Rock area, I have seen two since 2013.  Not quick enough with rifle or camera.
And Calamity walked up on one with a kitten at about 20 yds in 2011.
