2017 convention

The 2017 NCOWS convention will be back in Davenport Iowa. After much negotiations between 3 facilities, I'm
happy to announce that the convention will be held at the Radisson in downtown Davenport. We have block of
rooms reserved at a special rate of $89 per night, you must mention the NCOWS convention rate. (563) 322-2200

Once again there will not be a "home" posse putting this on, but a few of us spread out across a couple of states,
therefore we will be asking for a little help such as, working at the front door, getting door prizes, etc. If you have
any ideas about seminars or would like to host one please speak up. Also if you want to be a vendor or know of
someone who would be a vendor, please let me know.

Once again, we are going to have a website with all the details, coming very soon. We want to have all the seminars
set, and schedule set, so that we can put all that info into the winter SHOOTIST.

We very much look forward to making this another successful event and look forward to seeing you on March 24-26.

Just reserved my room at the $89.00 rate.  The gentleman taking the reservation advised that there is an $8.00 per night parking fee.

Everyone, when we negotiated the contract, we were able to get the parking fee waived.
apparently this person at the desk did not see that. When making reservations, be SURE
to mention the NCOWS rate and free parking. I will contact the Radisson about your mixup

Just made mine and Sierra Sue's reservations and was informed about the parking fee, I mentioned this was negotiated into the discounted rate and the lady told me she always mentions the parking fee. She didn't really realize it had been included.

I talked to the Radisson about the parking fee, and they assured me that it is in the contract
that it will be waived, something about this far out it's not communicated to the front desk YET
so when the time gets closer, they will know it

So, I made reservations for Angel Rhodes, Johnson Barr and me, and it turns out the expectation is you go away on Sunday.  The special rate is only through Saturday night, then the rate jumps $30.  Leaving on Sunday is tough for me since a) I am supposed to be last officer to leave; b) I live 900 miles away.  It is what it is.

Yep!  I called today to add the 23rd to my reservation. No problem. Same rate. But now the night of the 26th has gone up to $139+taxes.

I will call tomorrow about this, the special rate is supposed to include Sunday night. When
we negotiated  the contract it was from Thurs through Sun. I'll take care of it.

I got a call from Kimberly Rogis at the Radisson today apologizing for the confusion regarding rates. She set all my nights to the $89 and also called out the free parking on the revised reservation. All is well. The email address she gave for contact information if someone is having problems:

I called the Radisson this morning, the reservations go through the central reservation department in Omaha, they
don't know about the free parking in our contract. I was assured that when everyone checks in, they will be given
a complimentary parking pass. Also the contract reads, the $89 rate is good for not only the 3 days of our convention
but also 3 days before and 3 days after, provided reservations are made by March 2nd.   Speaking of March 2nd, that
is the deadline for the block of rooms at the $89 price, so please get those reservations in early. Any other issues please
