Heather is watching it right now. Not a big fan of baseball on TV, but I'll record it to hit high parts. It is nice that these two teams made it to the Series.....and I do like goat meat

Ya got time for a baseball story ............good
   Like I said, not a fan on TV but I do enjoy going to a game. Many many moons ago when I lived north of Raleigh we had a box at the Durham Bulls. Great seats, behind the catcher 1st base side 3nd and 4th row. The Bulls wifes were in front of us to the left, and sometimes scouts and coaches were to our left.
   Now the Bulls were a perty good team and we had alota fun cheering them on. Usually I was the designated driver.....well one night we had another DD and (when still took a drink) I might of had one or four beers And the Bulls couldn't hit a thing that night, played like minor minors. I thought it might help if I hollerd out some advice one of which was "Hank Aaron couldn't gitcha outa this mess!!" It was normal for us and those around us to get excited during a game (good clean fun and excited). I noticed a few people around us giving me the googlie eye .......finally the feller in the box beside us poked me in the arm and said " Hey Jefro (yes I've had that name that long) Hey Jefro, that's Hank Aaron sitting beside your wife" Ahhhhhhhh

I usually 'root' for the American league team, but I'm going for the 'Cubbies' to win. Anyway my Yankee's aren't in it, nor are my 2nd best team the Twin's (hate when those two teams play each other). As a Iowan near the Twin's, they should be my number one team, but have been a Yankee fan since 1st grade, some time around '56. Anyway, as the late cartoonist for the Des Moines Register, Frank Miller, used to say every year around this time "It's not an official World Series, unless the Yankee's are playing"! He was Yankee fan.

When the Yankees are playing in the WS, that is the only time, I root for the National League.

Well, gents, no matter who I root for, I always love to see the World Series go to seven games!  It's more exciting, plus it's just more baseball--it makes the gap until Spring that much shorter.  I think it's been a great series.

Twas' a good game that 7th one, right down to the "wire" in the 10th. Could have gone either way. The Cubs outlasted the Indians, both teams pulling out all the stops, using what players were needed to say in contention. 'Course, as I penned before--Wasn't an Official World Series because the Yankee's weren't in it"!
