We don't want pumpkin spice in our coffee in October

Afternoon y'all.

All is quieter on the western front.  Kind of.

We have three less turkeys now.  Butchered them all up, and have it all cleaned up.  The smallest one was about 40 pounds, and they went up from there.  The biggest was over 50.  All dressed out, we've got about 120 pounds of turkey.  They aren't going to fit in the oven, though. :o

But, our dog is now in heat.  And she refuses to stay in the yard under normal circumstances, so she's having to say inside a lot.  Not a happy puppy.

In other news, today is last day of deer season so we are going out in just a few minutes.

Good idea, Buck; I never considered something like that.  Guess I got lucky, working out and about in the boonies as much as I did.  Never wore a lot of stuff that could be mistaken for critters, though, mostly blue shirts and jeans, and always had that white hard hat on my punkin'.

It rained here last night, truly rained.  I am not a big fan of precipitation, but it is a necessary part of the environment I suppose.  I'm not in the habit of covering stuff up when I stop messing with it, so when it rains, which is seldom in this locale, something that shouldn't is bound to get wet, and that is an aggravation.  Fortunately, stuff dries right back out pretty quick here, too.  Weather is true fall, mildly warm days, cool nights, trending down temperature wise.

front ranges for some AR platform sighting in with a red dot.

Nice day on tap , woke to mid 50's may see 80° for a high, no rain

Good afternoon ladies and germs. ::)

So far, I've eaten junk food and gone shooting toady.  That's about it.  Took my brother out to do some plinking with the new rifle.  The scope still isn't zeroed, but I wanted to plink.  We set up some milk jugs at about 220 yards across a canyon, and a pringles can at about 35, and burned some powder.  Didn't hit anything at first, but I got the scope closer to zero and we tore up that pringles can pretty good.  Never could connect on the jugs, though. :-\

Raining here pretty good this week.  Already at 3/4" since yesterday, and it's not supposed to quit until Friday.

In the 60's on the way to work this morning.  A beautiful day forecasted for today and tomorrow.  A good thing, as my favorite wife's favorite youngest daughter is getting married on Friday, with the rehersal tonight.

To be truthful it was far less painless than I thought it would be, needed a copy of my birth certificate, remembered change for the meter, got there and the dang thing don't take dimes and nickels anymore, had to run to the store and get quarters, found out later I could have used the debit card. ::)
Who'd a thought it would come to that?

Oh, got some more platinia on a couple of knives tonight, helped Lemol carve a pumpkin, look that thread is funny. ;D
