So much brass, so many boolits

Howdy Pards,

Since I retired, I find time on my hands, somewhat.  So, I cleaned all my brass from last season and cast boolits for same.  Then, I started reloading my ammo.  Now, I'm all loaded up.  My shelves sag.

What shall I do this winter?

My Dear Dick -

the solution is obvious! 
1) reinforce your shelves
B) go on the hunt for more cheap brass and lead!
penultimate) quick! go shoot some more!
ultimate) build something bigger to house it all in.

I'll give ya gas money, ya can drive down to North Central Iooway and clean my brass, cast bullets for me, and let ya load mine. Of course ya gotta load some smokless along with the black powder stuff! I'll even put ya up for a few nights and feed ya corn meal mush, beans, and road kill!!!!! Ya can't pass up on that!!

Ya know, it's lots of joy to know my pards actually care.  I'll be lookin' for some more 45 Colt brass, dirty of course.  Also some 44 ELR brass (44 mangalum).  I have the means and materials to clean brass, but right now, I'm out of it.

Well, if you had mentioned this malady about a week ago, I could have sent ya a couple a hundred Brass 12Ga hulls to play with.  But, since nobody else offered, I just went ahead and cleaned em all.  Loaded em too.

I do have a couple of hundred 45 Schofield I could send ya.  they need to be trimmed to C45S length, D-Burr'd and reamed.  Oh wait, that's my snow day project.  Na ..... really can't help ya this year.  Maybe next.  I'll try and save up a pile of something for ya

Nah.  Unfortunately, I have TWO Uberti rifles with atrocious Head Space, that won't extract 45 Colt, nor 45 Colt trimmed to C45S, nor C45S cases.  They will run Schofield cases like wet grain thru a goose.  So I revert to those Halcyon days (Skull Numbing) days of yesteryear when we had to make our own C45S type cases.  During the winter, I set up my pre-adjusted case trimmer with 'lectric cordless drill and listen to the symphony. 

You see, up here, in the frozen north of Pennsyltucky, we have ...... seasons.  There are two.  Construction/Shooting season and Snow.  I always try to keep a couple of real mind numbing projects on hand to keep me sane.  It never works.  I've always been Mad as a Hatter.
