Problems with Winchester 94AE .45 jamming

I bought this rifle and it shoots great, the problem with it is that on occasion it lets a bullet get under the carrier and I have to push the little pin in the lever that connects to the Trigger guard plate to get the bullet out

I think somehow when levering in a cartridge, the rifle does not stop the next bullet in the magazine from releasing..

It does this with both factory and reloads.  It gets very frustrating when I am shooting a stage.

Does anyone have any solutions?

Here is the problem.  Winchester wanted in on the supposed "Cash Cow" that has been CAS.  Winchester didn't have a pistol caliber rifle.
Enter the 94AE.  Winchester took a rifle, designed from the ground up to be a 30-30 and tried to make it a short cartridge rifle.  The result is a somewhat less than stellar performing rifle.

Before I retired (CAS Gunsmith) I worked a several other CAS gunsmith and Rifle guys to see what was necessary to make the 94AE work reliably.  We found, the 94AE either works almost well.  Or ........ not at all.  The guns that didn't work, just didn't work.  There was no
reasonable cost way to fix those didn't work guns.  Basically, we quit working on them.  This was 6 years ago.  I really don't know if there has been a whole lot of improvement.  I haven't seen but one 94 at the clubs I shoot at.  It works but not particularly well.

Hopefully you aren't talking about a Henry Big Boy.  If so you are just jumping out of the frying pan into the fire.

Please, take heed, If you are talking about a Henry Big Boy for action shooting, forget it.

AWFUL CLOSE

Had the same problem with mine. And you are right, it is frustrating.
Found out after i traded the gun that there is a relatively cheap part that wears down and causes the problem.
Wish I could remember the part's name, but it was 2000 when I traded the gun.
