How many are too many '58 Remingtons? I got my first in the mid '70s.
1. A.S.P.
2 Uberti
1. Revolving Carbine, got a 275 lb Boar with it.
2. Pietta  Bought one to see what it was like, then bought a mate.
2. Uberti  5 1/2 bbl.

A.S.P. and Carbine makes eight, is enough?

I use them, hunting, C.A.S. matches and for fun.

Who among you has more?

I have 6, two are originals, both with 5 shot cylinders.
One is sleeved along with the chambers to .22 rim fire caliber.
The other a gunsmith conversion to center fire.
3 is an R&D, sleeved conversion to .429 for .44 Colt/Remington
4 is also an R&D with .45 Colt cylinder'
5 is in a .36 cal. and the R&D .38 Sp. cartridge cylinder.
6 and last is a M-1875 in .45 Colt.
All shoot very well.
My best,
Blair

No such thing as too many Remingtons in my mind. Love my 1875 replicas, they're as good as a six-shooter can be in my opinion.

I have had several , Early Navy Arms or 2 ( Euroarms ) , Armi San Polo , several Pietta , a Lyman and a Spanish E.N. Santa Barbara.
I bought an original once, had it 3 days, when the Consignment Gun Shops called and said, it had to be returned
seems , detectives tracked the Seller to the shop, turn out the gun was stolen  :o
I was not in any trouble cause both the Gun shop and I were in the dark as to the history...but had I not returned it or refused , I could have been charged (receiving stolen property) and at the selling price it was an A felony.

Only one I have now is a Uberti Forged frame conversion.....

My .36 Remington has no sleeve in it.
I have used hollow based bullets in it. And it shoots very well,.
At the time few people were making heel base bullets, but there were hollow base bullet makers out there at the time.

At most CAS/SASS distances, a .357 dia. bullet shoots very well in a .375 dia. bore.
Think about that for a moment... then decide for your self.

What I have been doing for a long time is picking up range brass, 357 mag and 38 special. Trim them and cast the heeled bullets. They go together easy.
Also I have a bunch of used ( by me ) 44 colt brass that I use for the 44 heeled. Cast the bullets, goes together easy.
Both shoot well. Low cost, I use on hand supplies.

I don't currently own any-but I do have a pair of Spiller&Burrs. They're kinda like a Remington. Had one once, one of the old Euroarms ones with the really small grip size, I had a hard time shooting it. If it's been a small frame .36 with that grip I'd still have it, but a full size gun with that tiny grip..... ???

Major 2

I have a Spiller & Burr.... it was a subject & project gun for an article I wrote for the Shootist.
