Vaquero Hammer Question

I picked up a used vaquero and it has a hammer on it that is not factory.  It swopes up at the end and would be great if I were cocking it with my off hand thumb but as a duelist it is like putting my thumb on a nail.  I've got a couple of vaquero's in a different caliber and I was wondering if I could switch out hammers with on of the other pistols?

If you're switching regular Vaquero to regular Vaquero.. you are in like Flint.  Just no RVB hammer or Blackhawk.
