I've loaded thousands of these, although I do nothing special with the wads, just work the handle on my loader.
They take down all the club popper steel I've encountered. I used to shoot 87 grains FF + 1 3/8 oz of shot using fiber wads.
After a serious concussion + whiplash & all kinds of other stuff hit me a few years ago, I had to cut down the shotgun load, quit shooting or simply stop breathing. Cutting down the load seemed the 2nd best option & I'm still on the sunny side & typing bad jokes
