Howdy,

I have an Uberti 1872 Open Top I just purchased with the larger (longer) army grips. I'm considering replacing the grips. Can any one tell me if the grips for this model are the same as the 1860 Uberti Colt Cap & Ball?
Also, has anyone replaced their grips and can give me a lead to the gripmaker they got them from?

Thanks Seth, I have my eye on a set of Buffalo Brothers grips but I didn't want to spend $65.00 if they were a little on the small side. I don't mind a little fiting. Gives me something to do here in the far north during the winter months. I emailed them about 4 days ago but to date have not received a response.

Take the grips off your gun, trace the FRAME, send it to Buffalo Brotherrs.  they're good folks and should be able to fix you right up.  Be sure to tell them that you have a winter to work on them, and that a little oversized won't hurt.
People like me are the reason people like you have the right to bitch about people like me.
