case color hardening for Hawken

Kent Shootwell

A fellow sent me some parts to his Hawken he's building. He polished them to a very fine finish and I cased them. Here's how they look.
Little powder much lead shoots far kills dead.

Very fine indeed.  Looks like you are off to a great start on a half-stock gun.  What calibre are you thinking?

Thanks guys, I'm retired now and like to do this on a small scale. I'm self taught as far a case color hardening goes and have done it for many years. The fellow these parts be long to will send me a photo of the rifle when it's done and I'll post it then.
