Subject: Division of Nebraska  Muster held on 30 April 2016, near to Valparaiso, Nebraska.

Brig General Pitspitr,

Sir, I have the honor to report that the Division of Nebraska Muster was held on the above date and location under your command.  The officers and men of the Dept of Missouri and the Division of Nebraska, though small in number, distinguished themselves by holding off and putting to flight a force nearly triple their size.

Six troopers braved the flooded conditions of the eastern plains of Nebraska to repel the dreaded Indian attacks. Due to their great valor and unending determination, they were able to make Eastern Nebraska safe again.

In service and reporting,
Quick Fire

Results from the Division of Nebraska Muster:
Division Champion: : Bvt Brig General Pitspitr

BP Military Single Shot: Col Drydock
Smokeless Military Repeater: River City John
   Smokeless Scout: Dan Borer
   BP Scout: Broken Nose Scotty

Broken Nose Scotty was overall winner of both precision rifle and handgun.

Outstanding report.

It was an outstanding event as well! I very much enjoyed myself.

For me some of the highlights were the silver dollar sized pistol targets, the hydraulic target hit indicators (Splashes) and  looking down while resetting targets and realizing the water was running ankle deep. This was the first time since the 2009 Grand Muster that I shot in my great-coat. While my last 2 comments might seem like criticisms I really enjoyed the weather. The wool uniform kept me warm in spite of being damp. I feel bad for those who allowed the weather scare them off!

The competition was spirited. The Precision Pistol Match ended with the two leaders tied. In the tie breaker Scotty prevailed by 2 points. In the long range match 3 points separated overall first and 3rd.

Scotty provided me with photographs and I will try to get them uploaded by the end of the day.

My heart felt thanks to Quickfire, Broken Nose Scotty and anyone else who helped behind the scenes. As I said before I enjoyed this immensely.

Ahh yes, the Chow! How could I have forgotten to mention that! It took great restraint on my part not to allow myself to get foundered. It was so good and there was so much, I tried my best not to make Quickfire have to deal with too many leftovers.  ;D

And the folks... River City John summed that up when he said that in spite of the rain the "...friendship (was) warm and the wit (was) dry."

Just want to publicly thank everyone that attended the First Division of Nebraska Muster at Valparaiso. It was an excellent Muster in spite of the wet weather. Hope more of you plan to attend next April.

You beat me to the punch RCJ

It has been so long since an SoM had been issued that I had forgotten about them. As I was coming down the stairs this morning It occurred to me that Quickfire definitely deserved one if the hosts of the Colorado Muster did. When I got on the computer just now it was to announce Quickfire's.
Anyway...

Approved!

Quickfire, is there anyone that you want to recommend for their assistance to you?

Thanks River City. General Sir, Broken Nose Scotty had as much to do with this as I. So I highly recommend one for him.

Thank you for the recognition Sir!  BUT, to put the record straight, Quickfire put a helluva lot more work into this than anyone else. I was proud to be his humble assistant!
It is far better to remain silent, and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt!

Understood, but both of you were recommended for SoM's and I think you both deserve one.
