Don, you'd think there'd be enough of us to have our own magazine (smile).

I just got the Summer 2016 issue ....I assume that will be the last ever issue

Interesting on the cover is a 51 Navy Belly gun... I have a vested interests in these and have made a few for Film & myself...

There is thread in the Open Top Forum , about belly guns....I haven't read the a GOTOW article yet but it looks
like Coffenmaker's own custom guns were copied.

Navy Six

I didn't have to suspect my mail carrier was reading the magazine, I knew! One time he even asked to borrow it back so he could finish an article!! Of course, being a very nice guy who used to let my two Great Danes out for me, it was the least I could do.

Since I just paid for a year's subscription I'm hoping I get to see this Summer issue you guys are talking about. But dang it's going to be an expensive one! (lol at myself)

Navy Six

I haven't received the Summer '16 issue yet either. Hoping it will still arrive in the mail. Glad now I saved a bunch of past issues

Just got my summer issue and I re-upped for another year a couple months ago. Nice if they send a refund but I won't hold my breath! >:(

St. George

The last issue was May 2016.

Subscriptions are done, as well.

It was announced to the Harris Publications workforce over the loudspeaker on a Thursday - giving them until Friday of that week to clean out their desks and lockers - leaving them out of work.

Maybe if all of the C&WAS publications didn't resemble one another as much as they did, they'd still be in publication.

I'd sure like to hear from Mike Beliveau about the whole thing, he post here fairly often?

I just got a letter pertaining to a lawsuit against Harris Publications filed by a guy named Rosen in the Supreme Court of the state of New York.

Anyone else?? ::)

The Pathfinder

I got one, but for what they would owe me for what's left of my subscription, if I could really figure it out, isn't worth the effort.

Major 2

Near as I can figure, I still have 2 issues that will go down in flames...
Pathfinder said it " isn't worth the effort."

it is not the first time I had subscribed to a Magazine that floundered... It is however the last time....

I seldom don't buy any on the newsstand either, so I guess I'm a part (small part ) of demise of Print Magazines'
I only get American Rifleman from the NRA and usually just skim it  ::)

I got one too. Still chewing over what, if anything I'm gonna do about it.

Professor Marvel

well,  they filed for bankruptcy . that means all anyone will get is some portion of moneys owed, if that.

assest auctions are happening right now.
First dibs go to the lawyers
next to the auctioneers
then  the Landloard
then other debts and subscribers (see page 17 above)
item 64. on page 19 mentions ~ 100 vendors and ~ 50,000 subscribers, and
"Assigner has informed me that it believes that each such magazine subscriber is owed between $4.00 and $10.00 "

and it appears as tho they may be requiring subscribers to file a "proof of claim form" to be eligible for any (partial) refund if any funds are remaining...

good luck

This isn't bankruptcy--wrong court.  Looks like some New York sleight of hand to give it all to the lawyers.

Isn't that kind of the definition of bankruptcy? (LOL)

Good thing the subscribers aren't likely bleeding-heart liberals that think the world owes them....they would be filing a suit for pain and suffering.

I'm not in pain and I'm not suffering. I'm just highly annoyed. Don't think you can file suit for that (LOL).
