I just found out that Chuck Burrows has passed. Evidently he did so quietly in his sleep the other night. He was a great contributor here and a lot of us have learned some of his methods. He was certainly influential for me.

Camille sent me this link from a knife making forum. Blade Forums Post About Chuck

May he do well wherever he is. Godspeed, Chuck.

He did amazing work both with leather and blades.  I am very sorry to hear that he is gone.

Sad news. I always enjoyed watching Chuck's video on Holster Making. His posts here on the Leather Shop were very helpful and informative. He will be missed. May he rest in peace.

Truly Sad news. He was old school , with knowledge and a skill level unmatched.  May you have a good trip Amigo!   DT

He had experienced some hard times the last few years along with his health.

I had talked with him a bit about , Him putting a book of his photos together... Something along the lines of " Packing Iron "

We are lessened, by his passing  :(

Very sad to hear this.  I always thought that Chuck had great techniques and creative vision.  He used earth tones to great use on his unique products to generate old age antiqued looks.

Going to miss his work.

Hi, Chuck was a rare breed, he could both do and teach.  His work in leather and
blades is beyond great AND his videos on the subject are helpful to both experts and
novices like me.

RIP Chuck

I'd known Chuck a long time - he'd made a beautiful Bowie for me and several other items, and I'll treasure them, along with the memories of our long conversations about anything and everything.

He was a helluva man.

Vaya con Dios, my friend.

Very, very sad. Such a huge loss. Not only did Chuck's work inspire me to try it myself but he helped me along the way and payed me the ultimate compliment by recommending my work to others. Ashamed to say that I have no samples of his work.

Rest In Peace, ole pard.  :'(
