It rained around here most of the night. The ground is really soaked. My yards will need to be mowed when it dries up.

Morning y'all.
Coffee is hot.

Rain overnight.
'Tis 48 and cloudy. "Mostly cloudy. Areas of fog in the morning. A chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 60s. Light and variable wind becoming west 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Chance of rain 30 percent."

I love the smell of Black Powder in the morning!

Thanks for the coffee!
More rain today.
The access to the SASS range is currently impassable, so practice day on Saturday is tentative.
On the way to work, I saw pairs of animals being hearded toward a large boat.

Was there a man with a long white beard?

Good Troy

Yes...he was wearing camo, carrying a shotgun, and had his eye on the ducks!

Made it out to mow the hay-field yesterday.  Edged the lawn, and trimmed the hedge in front of the den window.  Think I overdid it a little after having been flat on my back with whatever I had the last week, but it's done and I'm still alive.

Supposed to get rain tomorrow, so I'm putting off restarting the sprinkler system.  There is a chance of snow and slightly below freezing Monday and Monday night.  Hope that doesn't screw up the chance of cherries this year.

Had homemade Nachos last night, and planning on oven baked cod for supper tomorrow night.  Still thinking about Saturday, but it will probably be on the grill, whatever it turns out to be.

Morning y'all.
Coffee is hot.

Off verk today 'cuz I verked Sunday. Got plenty to do outside: change tires on the Bush Hog, cut down some leaning trees before they fall on the fence, etc.

'Tis 43 and partly cloudy. High of 59.

Sunny day in Houston.  Me and mine are fortunate, and didn't get any flooding...though I know some that did.

Up early - for me - this morning, thanks for the coffee.

Got some wind yesterday in the afternoon, but it didn't temper the warm, got to over 90 at the peak in spots around the valley.  Looks like today will be a similar event.

Later.

Got 3 more trees cut down, sawed in 100" lengths for lumber, and brush cleaned up.

Coffee and tea water are hot.

The rain we were supposed to get yesterday was more like a dribble.  Will be looking at mid-week before turning on the sprinkler system.  Could get below freezing at night until then.

Morning y'all.
Thanks fer the coffee.

My left hip is complaining from yesterday's yard work.

Johnsonville brats for lunch.

My Lee Auto-Prime broke last night. I've used it for at least 15 years. I got it used. Ordered a replacement from MidwayUSA.

'Tis 41 and sunny. High of 63. Could get rain tomorrow.

I bought one of the new auto primes a few years ago, hated it. Bought another one of the old style round ones online and use it instead.

I could use some lumber from those trees-got a barn that needs some more rough sawn boards for siding. Got a lot of trees I could use, but no sawmill.

This is supposed to be new and improved for 2016.  ::) I'll see if it is worth it.
There is a guy with a portable sawmill about 2 miles from here. I had him saw up a bunch a couple years ago.

Mine broke last year. I also got 15 years use out of it.

Bought an RCBS this time.

I lube the joint on mine once in a while, seems to help.
