Woke up with 2" on the vehicles and 12 degrees.
The shoot with the Crystal River Gunslingers was fun even with the sn*w on the ground. Went to Fleet Farm afterwards for animal feed and other essentials.
Now watching Adam West as Batman.

Low 60s here, and sunny. Been out fixing stuff most of the day. &%$#*@ cows... Decided they wanted to go to the hayfield Thursday.. knocked down the gate. Put them back, fixed gate. Friday AM-Knocked down gate again, wife lured them back in with some feed, tried to fix gate. Friday PM Knocked down gate again, bent it all out of shape this time. By now I'm bent out of shape, too. Put them back, re-did gate with 4 corral panels, parked trailer against it. Cows giving me the evil eye....

Sat AM, coming home from town....there they are in the road. Broke out where the creek goes under the fence( That's a "water gap" here in Mo, don't know what they might call it elsewhere.) Fixed that. Spent rest of afternoon working over my corral pens, check out stock trailer later. There's one sure way to fix these cows..... >:(

Beef..........It's what to eat! ;D ;)

20 some degrees here. Got almost 3" of the evil white stuff Fri. night into Sat. morning. Didn't really pile up on the streets and walks, just the grassy areas. Was mostly slush on the streets, we did use the plow to hasten clearing and had to shovel and deice around the barn-club house and mailbox areas though.Actually had some people that wanted to look at the sale homes ::)
I might be slow, but I'm mostly accurate.....

Got rain overnight. Now we have clouds hugging the mountain tops a couple hundred feet above us.  Chance of thunderstorms this afternoon and tomorrow.

We slept in this morning. It rained off and on all day yesterday. No rain today, but we have wind. Beans, potato salad, smoked sausage, and cornbread are planned for supper tonight.

Bovine problem is 3/5 solved. The biggest, ornryest (SP?) one tried to jump out of the corral, actually she did, made one of the corral panels look like a big steel pretzel. Her calf was already in the trailer, so since I couldn't catch the b.......  cow again, had to let her calf out to her. now I got one wild cow and calf and 3 semi-tame horses wandering on near 150 acres of woods and pasture. If I can't catch her when the calf is old enough to wean, I might just go hunting for the biggest "deer" in those woods.

Good day!  Thanks, Slim, I needed that.

We have had rain, wind, lots of clouds, and humidity; aaack.  Today, though, it's blue skies, light breeze, 'bout 63 or so and I already have all the windows open and airing this place out. Prognostication from those who are considered egg spurt prognosticators about weather are for a string of pretty nice days.  I sure hope so; that's one of the nice things about living in a place like Las Vegas, pretty nice days a lot of the time.

I got the yards mowed this morning. The temp is in the high 60s and windy. I had a ham and cheese sandwich for lunch. I'm going to take an afternoon nap.
