Slixshot cones and CCI #10 caps?

    I ordered a set of Slixshot cones  for my Pietta 1861 Colt replica and I wonder if CCi No. 10 caps will fit them.  I know they are intended for use with Remington No. 10 caps,  but it would be nice to have an alternative.  Anybody have experience with these?
Local gun shop says he can't get Remingtons.

I have some CCI#10 caps from about 1997 and they would not fit a current batch (six different Uberti guns-51, 60, 61 all use the same nipple) of slix shot equipped Ubertis. The CCI #10s were a bit too snug and I was leery of forcing them on. Hope this is of some help.

Found Remmie #10's at my local Bass Pro Shop a week back for $7.99 a tin.

I have used Remmy # 11 on my slix-shots.

CCI#11s are closer in size to the Rem#10 than the CCI#10 which is much smaller. RWS#1075 is also closer to the REm#10 than the CCI#10. The Rem#11 is just a shorter Rem#10.

I've got a tin or two of CCI ! #10 that won't fit anything I have, but Remington #10 fit fine.

I have 2000 CCI #10 caps. I bought when I first got back in to Black Powder Revolver shooting. At the time they were on Sale, and I did not know what I know now.
They may fit my NAA C&B Mini-revolver. Who knows ?
If I were a kid again, I would find all kind of use for them. Ha, Ha !

As you have found out, CCI 10s will not work - there are not many revolvers that they will work with.  Slix Shot nipples work fine with CCI 11s, Rem 10s or 11s, and RWS 1075s.  IMNSHO, the Rem #10s are the best fit.

AS mentioned, CCIs are a "no-go."  If your LGS can't get Remington # 10s, Check with Bass Pro and Cabellas.
