Captain Barrett

Folks,

Just wanted to let you know I am still alive and around. My level of desire for $A$$ has diminished, but not my enthusiasm for the GAF...

You folks are among the finest people I have ever known...

I have attached a PDF copy of a letter I sent to $A$$ HQ regarding theri requests for an "upgrade" to the Patron level...

"SASS wire" is not SASS. If it were more people than you would feel the way you do. There are many posters on the Wire that have never attended a shoot and never will. There are also many SASS shooters who have never been on the wire and never will. I understand your reluctance to upgrade given your circumstances but feel that your reasoning for it is flawed. wM1

Captain Barrett, glad you're still with us.

Not wanting to turn this into a SASS bashing thread, the REAL question is when are we going to see you at The Grand Muster? Even as a spectator - know that we have a period-correct golf cart to help in locomotion (and we've all taken advantage of it from time to time).

This year the banquet is going to be at Ft. Hartsuff (www.forthartsuff.org) and a great opportunity to have your Orderly bring the Dress Uniform out of mothballs and brush it up.

p.s. The Lee-Navy eventually went East to a collector. I had assembled a correct bayonet, sling, reprint of the 6mm Lee Army Manual, and specific clips, but never worked up a load nor shot it.

RCJ,

I was going to buy it off you one day soon...

WM1,

$a$$ is not in my life now much. That said, I am still a Life Member, but lining the pockets of the "Mild Bunch" for little more than greed is not what I call a good use of money. I found it astounding to even read they have such a plan...
