Sounds like our winds made it to Wisconsin!  We're going to be in the single digits all day today wind wise.

High of 60 today, starting a gradual warmup.  Not a hint of rain until Monday.

Making stroganoff for supper tonight.

Just heard the lightning strike last night that took out our power, did damage to my brother-in-law's house, which is about a 1/4 mile away. Light bulbs shattered. A TV and some appliances are dead.  :o

Sounds like he was close to ground (no pun intended) zero for the strike.  Hope no one was hurt!

Pots are on. Enjoy!

Don't seem like anyone's partaking of the coffee lately, except Slim.  I'll put some coffee and water on just in case.

Been fairly busy myself. Thanks for the coffee ;)

Doing laundry and watching snow flakes floating outside the window. They're not calling for any accumulation though ::) :-\

Wound up ..sitting out the day, feeling sickish, visited Ralph & his porcelain bus wheel  ... some kinda intestinal bug a boo....

OK today, but get stiffed by Sportsmans Warehouse....

Back in Feb. I got a SW mailing Sale flyer stating  "on line... order 1000 # 10 Remington Percussion Caps $24.99   :o

I place my order that day (Feb 28 ) on line, with my Debit card  hell of deal ! included free shipping !
They confirmed the order , and said  it would be arriving March 28 ( OK, but that some slow shipping   :-\ " )

This past Thurs. I got and email saying, "good news they were shipping earlier, expect Delivery Tues. March  22 " = COOL, I thought.

This morning I got another email

Dear Mr. Ragland
Please excuse us, we are currently unable to complete your order. It should only be for a short time.

Thank you for your understanding.

No hit on my Debit card , but DANG  $24.99 w/ free shipping was about 1/2 price  :o

Went out and upgraded my 1990 4runner to a 2004 4runner yesterday.

Took longer than expected, so the Dutch oven pot roast got postponed to today.  Beef is marinating, so now it is about time to go sit in the new vehicle with the owner's manual and figure out all the new bells and whistles.

I thought that ....in fact ran the gambit .... disapointed to pissed  >:(
Was a time, Company's honored a business code of behavior
False advertisement carried penalties...
Obviously someone @ Sportsman's Warehouse screwed the pooch and they prolly pulled the plug or somebody bought them out.

In the Email, they posted the link to their Website ...even that was down this morning ... ::)
It's back up this afternoon  and they list CCI Cap at $5.99 per 100 count & RWS @ 10.99 per 100 count
no Remington to be seem ...

I'll pay more elsewhere, before and just to not do any Business with them..and I told them that too !

El Peludo

Got back from a trip to SoCal earlier.

Went to South Orange County to see one of our granddaughters act in her theater group's production of "Charley and the Chocolate Factory", and just to visit a bit with the extended family.  The visits I don't mind when they're not over crowded, but sometimes there are so many "extended family" there that it's sort of like going to a convention; not so this time.  The play was good, about what one can expect from a group of kids from about six to thirteen years old, some good talent, some not so much - but I enjoy watching them try.

On the way home, we were north bound on I-15, and watched, with some amazement, one of the longest traffic jams I have ever seen on the south bound side of the I-15.  I noticed that traffic over there was almost at a standstill when we transitioned from the California 91 in Corona, and it remained that way, moving sporadically from near stop to maybe thirty or so MPH, all the way to Las Vegas and beyond where we go off of the I-15 in central Las Vegas -- -- that is a distance of 250 miles, or there abouts. Astonishing; and on our side, we were flying along most of the way at seventy or more.

Maybe someone put up the sign I always thought should be at the top of the Cajon Pass "Abandon all hope ye who enter here"!  That was always the spot where the smog started!  Never went down that grade without saying that to myself!

Slim just beat me to the coffee pots.

If you put off the 1 year visit for 3 years and they added 5 years before the next visit,  hold off until 15 years and they give you another 45.  Not sure of the math, but it sounds like you may have found the Fountain of Youth!   ??? ::) ;D ;D
