The convention planning is nearly complete, and I wanted to update a couple of things. We will be having
a 3 stage indoor shoot on Thursday afternoon, pistols only, see the website for more info. We don't have
a "home" posse putting this on, but rather a small group of members spread out over about 400 miles.
We will need a little help working the front table (collecting money and checking guns) we have some
volunteers already but could use a few more, 2 people for 2 hour shifts. If you would like to donate a
door prize for the banquet it would be very much appreciated. We are having a chili cookoff at the Friday
night hospitality room, please bring your best chili to share, please let me know if you are entering.
The hotel catering has a March 1st deadline for our food order, so we need registrations in SOON,
please spread the word to fellow members to get registered SOON. Please see the website for more info

We very much look forward to seeing you there !!!

A couple of other things. I have a room reserved at the Iowa Machine Shed for dinner Thursday evening, it's a couple
miles away, and has very good food served family style. We will meet there about 6:00 PM. Also, We have a 4 piece band
hired for the banquet, they will be playing during happy hour and then again after we eat and door prizes are awarded,
they will be playing dance music.

Well, after 8 months of planning it's almost here, a couple more things for you.
At the Friday night hospitality room, we are having 10 pizzas delivered between
5:15 and 6:30 plus a keg of beer Mississippi blonde from bent river brewing co.
We've only had 2 people say they're bringing chili, so if anyone wants to bring
something to share that would be great. The extended weather sounds good
with highs in the upper 50's, so no one should have any road issues. I know
many of you are coming some long distances, so be safe and we sure look
forward to seeing you!! ;D ;D

BTB:
Is the event at the Iowa Machine Shed like Kansas City where everyone gets dressed up to go to dinner?

Joe, probably not, it's a casual restaurant with good family style food,
with a Iowa farm theme. You'll like the food, try the warm chunky applesauce

Now we're getting to the important questions.

Sorry Joe, they don't have a bar, I thought we could get together in the pool area back at the
hotel for some whiskey sampling and B.S. afterward. Please don't feel obligated that you have
to go to the machine shed to eat.

I am going to be flying up to the Convention again this year. The hotel has a shuttle to and from the airport. I will be without transportation up there. I will need a ride to the restaurant on Thursday night.

John,
When will the trade show hall open to bring stuff in.  I would like to get my stuff in the hall on Thursday so I can go to the Auction house Friday morning and not have to worry about my goods.

TLD,if you're bringing you own plane, I'm assuming you're landing at the Davenport airport, 2-3 miles from site, rather than the
Quqd City airport over in Moline. The main hall will be open from 2-5 Thursday afternoon, and 9-1 Friday for vendor setup.
