Where'd you find that phone booth, outside an antique store?

We got one mailbox like that in town where I work, beside the county courthouse.

Delmonico

Guess I need to look better, says we have 110 around town. ;D

Casey's Genaro Stores has them, right by the free air.

We got Casey's stores all over the place here, but no phone booths. They do however have the free air, but the one I stop at every day , the air only goes to about 30lb, so if you have a truck tire low, it's about enough to get across the street to the tire shop.

There's a State Park on my mail route, they've still got a booth, but no phone in it for years now.

20 here with light flurries. We went out at six this morning to do battle with the elements. Put down a bunch of salt. We're supposed to get some new stuff in to try, supposed to be really potent ::) :o

I was call on to identify and perhaps appraise a CW Carbine this evening.....

There was time in an earlier incarnation , I was quite the savant in this Area ....made a fair few bucks at it, I did.
but that was another story , haven't forgotten much and have my dusty files & research library....

This one I did gratis for my FFL  :)
A chap , brought in his late Uncle closet piece , and want to know what it was ...

Short story... a 2nd model Merrill Carbine, in NRA Fair -Poor  all matching #'s , wood had been refinished , the rear sight/lever catch
was  ::) JB welded on , and the Bolster clean out screw was missing and had been sealed with JB Weld.
Bore was rather nice , good rifling & shiny w/ some minor pitting.
No finish, gray with freckling overall , no Blue on the Lock plate or CH on the Hammer.
Brass butt plate w/ patchbox as 2nd model had , Musket Nipple ( no 1st. Model Maynard Tape Primer )
Breach and block were smooth and good seal.... however  as stated the lever lock catch was JB welded  ::)

value $850-950  wall hanger ...but it's not for sale I don't believe.

It was rather fun....enjoyed it I did  ;D

Broke 60 today.  The snow is disappearing fast.

Tonight's menu is stir fry beef and garlic bread.  No idea yet for Friday, but we're planning on having friends over for grilled salmon and broiled taters on Saturday.

Looks like we're going to hold our highs right at 60 for the next few days.  Should mean the snow will be gone about mid next week.

Decided on grilled chicken for Friday.  Should still be warm enough to sit by the grill and let the cats out for a while.  They have been going stir crazy because they don't like the snow.

Coffee and water are ready for the early risers.

Not one on my list, been there twice, not impressed, maybe our Lincoln one, but I can get much better steaks in a small town bar.

Normally I agree, there are better steak places here.
but the two item's I got were good and fairly priced , that's why I tried them....

their steaks were smallish & over priced.
