Uberti 1866 Yellowboy Flatside Short Rifle 150th Anniversary Model

Limited to a production of 350, Uberti's 1866 Yellowboy Engraved Anniversary Model features the distinctive side-loading gate along the face of the unique flat receiver plate found in very early 1866 rifles. The receiver's shape falls in fact somewhere in between that of the Henry and that of the later, more rounded cowboy rifle. It is the exact replica of an 1866-dated rifle with the very low serial number 13546, now part of the Uberti collection.

The people most interested in this gun, we the hardcore few, would be better served by one sans frilly engraving and in 44-40. I can see this languishing like their transition model Henry. Mike Harvey needs to get on the horn and finagle some like I mentioned.  ;)

Mike

There should be a market, no issues with ammo falling out because the gate is left open ;D

Yeah I'd be interested in one like that. The 45 Colt caliber is a deal breaker for me.

Well, Uberti screwed the pooch again on this one. They state they have original #13,546 and copied it. What they don't state is that they pulled another trick like on their Transition model in monkeying with the screw placement. Here's original #13,936. Note the loading gate screws & compare to Uberti's:

Uberti has droped down my list of great gun makers.
I could not get a great picture to see up close if they had put the screws in the correct place.
Wont be getting one any way. ;D5
