Yesterday I picked up this Centennial Trade Mark "1960 New Model Army."

The bore actually looks better than this. I was having difficulty getting a picture that would show the lands and grooves without being glared out.

It has a bit of a lockup and timing issue but after reading Pettifogger's articles, I am confident that they can be sorted out.

I am very happy with it considering I got it out the door for $83.

Long Johns Wolf

My congrats on this nice, rare Centaure from ca. 1970, JWS. She is a
# Regular New Model Army (RNMA): 8" barrel, 3-screw frame, recoil shield cut for stock, S/N without prefix
# 3rd Variation: Ormsby naval engagement scene roll-engraved on the cylinder with legend ENGAGED 16 MAY 1843, traditional finish, variant was sold in America North of the Rio Grande only, but not in Europe
# 3rd Sub-Variation: most feature the legend CENTENNIAL between the cylinder scene's ends (which this one does not seem to have: only very few of such specimens are known), walking Centaure logo on the frame, no notch for the attachment of a stock on the butt.
Back in the days these pistols were imported by Centennial Arms Corp. of Lincolnwood, IL.
The cylinder scene was not applied at the Blegian factory but at the Centennial Arms Corp. shop.
At $ 83.00 steal. The first one I see in the USA in months!
Enjoy shooting her.

OK, its officially a thread!! Lol.  (I see um too!!)

Looks nice! It definitely has a timing issue though. The screws could use some sprucing up as well.  Those are all fixable, I'd buy um all day for that price !! Congratulations!!

Lucky R. K.

If this works a picture of my Cenature is shown below.  I got a really good deal on it. My wife's cousin gave it to me years ago. He bought it with the shoulder stock at a yard sale.  I have done the Pettifogger tune up tips to it and it does shoot well.
