Getting packed and ready to turn over cat care to our house sitter in the morning.  Heading off to Wisconsin to join the wife and her family for Christmas.  It looks like Milwaukee will be about 10 degrees warmer than Reno for the next week.  A balmy 40 rather the 30s here.

Hey y'all.

I'm set free of education now! Until January that is.

Got a bit of white stuff today, though pretty much only while we were cutting a Christmas tree...   Naturally.

Going to be setting it up tomorrow.

Well, I've turned over house sitting duties, and waiting for the cab to show up.  I'll put the pots on for everyone.  Taking the laptop, but not sure how often I'll find a wi-fi hot spot (no car to go to the library while I'm back there).

So I wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

Pots still on, made a fresh pot, got a cup, wicked old slave driver in this sewing sweatshop gave me a coffee break. ;D

Doing the machine sewing on 21 quilted Christmas stockings for presents.  Got her a good one, I can sew them faster than she can pin them and a lot faster than she can sew them on her machine.  LOL, she don't think she has ever done her's, I clean and lube mine after 3-4 hours running time, guess I should do that for her tomorrow.

Is that to imply you'd rather another get the spot!
Gee, I missed doing registration again this weekend.  Too much Ho, Ho, OH NO! shopping going on this weekend for me.

Morning y'all.
Coffee is hot.

On vacation this week. Doing to a neighbor's house this afternoon to fix computers.
The puppy, Bullet, had fun playing in the mud puddles this morning during our walk. Now, he is tied outside.  ::)

Got the lights on the tree last night.

'Tis 34 and misting. "Cloudy. Light rain likely in the morning...Then a slight chance of light rain in the afternoon. Patchy fog in the morning. Highs in the upper 30s. North wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent."

That seems like a heck of a combination,Slim ;D

Our new one is doing pretty good, Slim. house breaking is a bit of a problem  yet, but she's just a little love button. The dachsy has relented some, but when it comes to food, all bets are off. ::) :(

Cleaned and lubed both machines today.

How redneck is a Sears Craftsman sewing box, moving it to a larger one when this project is done.   ;D

Pay back later, gathering material for some new shirts, she will cut and pin and I sew, should be able to whip some out pretty quickly.

Ours is having somewhat of a problem with the water switch,I think. Somewhat runny. Or, the pain pills the vet sent home with her might be the problem too. She sticks to me like glue. This evening when I took Sandy's senior citizen girl out, Chloe followed me right out the door. Luckily she stopped right in front of me when she got to the grass :o ::)

57 and rain here, still dark. All 4 dogs have been out. we have a grand over night and the new girl does have a bark. Barked at the grand 5 or six times yesterday evening ::)

Christmas gifts that is, Rita did the quilting and pinning, I just sewed them all together.   They are lined, I went through about 400 yards of thread, about 2/3 rds of 2 spools.   Works good that way, i keep my main sewing machine tuned and lubed well and can really turn stuff out if she does the prep.   I guess our dining room is Rita's sweatshop.

My project was to did all the cast iron I've collected over the years for cheap or free and clean it up and season it.   My daughters and SD, 2 nephews and a niece get to take turns picking what the want, need to sort more in the cupboard and figure out what I'm actually keeping.  Got two 15" skillets, two 12" chicken fryers, 3 stove top dutch ovens, sauce pans with lids and bread pans, none in the picture that ain't going out of my kitchen.   Will likely keep 3-4 of the smaller skillets.
