Ho the camp fire, I'm comin' in peaceable like.

I shot 2nd place in my category at Mississippi Fandango.  It was held in great fall Wisconsin weather.  Food was great and company was better.

I came in next to first and the first place shooter came in next to last.  Ok, there were only two of us.

Frontier Cartridge Gunfighter continues to rise.  If you want to whomp my butt, just sign up for FCGF at a shoot where I'm registered.  That will be fine, unless you push me all the way down to 3rd place.  Then, I'll get even with a back shot at close range or some Dastardly act. . .

I ain't Dirty Dick Dastardly.  Not even his best pal Smedley.  Didn't stay at a Holliday Inn Express last night (least, not that I'll admit) but,
Frontier Cartridge Gunfighter, is a Gunfighter, who, in his or her infinite wisdom has chosen to shoot Gunfighter, with (gasp) Black Powder or Subs. 
You may choose to shoot ANY main match legal hand guns with fixed sights.  So, yes, you can shoot converted Dragoons.  However,
if you wish to demonstrate true manliness, you shoot Cap Guns.  To reach "Exalted Grand Phooba" level, you shoot Cap Gun Snubbies.
Barrels over 3 1/4 inches do not count as Snubbies.  Exalted Wunder Gunners will snub those with longer barrels.
Mear Mortals, who shoot their pistols by gripping with both hands, need not apply.

Exactly right Coffinmaker.

Gunfighter has been a long time recognized SASS category.  Frontier Cartridge Gunfighter is simply Gunfighter shooting black powder.  As stated, any SASS legal main match pistol qualifies just as long as it's making smoke and flames.

Now, don't get me wrong.  FCGF is a very demanding category and brings all the challenges of Gunfighter together with those of black powder.  Always remember, if you can't confuse them with facts, baffle 'em with bullshit.  To that you can add the "Fog of War" to confuse spotters.  FCGF is a hoot!
