You are a lucky man . Wish I could get my son out shooting again . He is 19 now and cowboy shooting doesn't rate .

Cash, I'll be shooting blanks this weekend. I'm going to work half a day Friday and drive to Yellow River
forest and trout fish Friday and Sat. morning. We then have our monthly show with the Hole in the
sock gang in Mcgregor, on Sat. afternoon. Sunday I'll be robbing the train at Camp Courageous, it's a
wonderful camp for disabled people. They have 2 fundraisers a year, during the day there are train
rides that go through the grounds, on the hour we load it with money and on there return we rob it.
There always seems to be some deputies around and a big shootout commences. This is a lot of fun
with a lot of spectators, last spring they served nearly 3000 breakfasts. Wish me luck, if everything
goes well maybe I can retire next week!!!

I have been retired almost 5 years. I still love it and have no desire to be a Walmart greeter.   ::)

Retirement is good.  I have been retired 3 years.  The only bad part is the body parts that have started to fail.

I went to a gun show in Rapid City last week end.  I picked up an 1892 Spaulding belt full of Krag ammo and a 1909 New Service.  The NS is shooter grade but the price was good for a correctly marked 1909.  Now if I could figure out how to take and post pictures.

What caliber New Service did you find?  I have 45 Colt and 38 WCF. I'd like to find an affordable shooter in 44 WCF to make my trio.

My problem is body parts have been failing for years and I'm still a long way from being able to retire. :(

Last weekend we were in the Twin Cities visiting our daughter. We drove down and toured the Northfield Historical Society's exhibit about the James -Younger raid in Northfield, Minnesota. It is a small exhibit but it does contain some interesting information and firearms. If you are ever in the immediate area, it may be worth a look. I'd have done a slide show on the exhibit but no pictures were allowed inside.

Here is a link to their website http://www.northfieldhistory.org/bank-site/

I'm coming down with Gabby Hayes for the October NCOWS shoot. See you then!
