Pietta Thread Size Query

   I had just finished cleaning off yet another burr on my 1860 (cap gutter) and decided to go through the pistol again to see what other burrs I had missed.  In putting the trigger guard back on I noticed that the 'nose screw', as I call it, had a hard time getting started.  Knowing that the screws are soft and bugger up easily I retrieved a new one from my spare screw set.  That was when a question popped into my head.  Just out of curiosity: the grip screws, with the exception of what I call the 'heel screw', are all of the same thread.  What is that thread size on Pietta trigger guard & back strap screws?  I don't have a complete set of metric taps and dies to clean and chase with.  Nope!  Don't have a metric pitch gauge right now either; remedied tomorrow.  Just eyeballing (with tired old eyes) they appear to be 4mm x 1.00.  By the way, the new screw went in like it's supposed to.  Thanks for any answers ahead of time.

Sorry 'bout that.    I shoulda' asked what the thread sizes of all the Pietta screws and those of Uberti's also.  I've got a tap for the grip screws (4.00mm x .75) but not a die.  Here's what's odd around these here parts: all sorts of taps can be found but no dies to help chase threads on screws.  On-line yes, at hardware stores...no!    What the...?  I cleaned up the frame and swapped out the screw.  I guess they figure screws are dime-a-dozen.  Oh well.

Oh but I forgot ........ 

Pietta screws are Pietta size.  Uberti size won't work
