Does Remington 1861 Navy Conversion supposed to have unmarked cylinder?

I recently purchased a very nice Remington 1861 Navy Conversion. It has conversion number stamped on the bottom of the the barrel, on the top of the trigger guard (must be removed), and on the left frame of the grips (grips must be removed). However, the cylinder (which obviously was produced later, as it is made for cartridges) has no markings on it whatsoever. So my question is: do these conversion cartridge cylinders supposed to have a conversion number stamped on them or not?

Thanks

No real big expert, but do you think it was a factory conversion for sure or maybe a Smith job. If a Smith job it likely would not have numbers. Factory, maybe?
