I know this might be a long shot...but I picked up a Winchester Model 71 today and it is the only rifle ever chambered for the 348 Winchester cartridge. And that cartridge is the only one that uses a .348 bullet. I can't find them in stock anywhere.

Jacketed or lead....I'm open to all offers.

I found brass at Buffalo Arms so that isn't an issue...

Can ya help a fella out?

Email me rvb100@comcast.net

Thanks!

several links for .348 bullets:

reckon you'd have to check with each for availability - BTW cast bullets, especially hard cast, work well in 348. My last M71 was in 450 Alaskan - the 348 necked up to 45 - a real boomer. Always wanted to rebore one to 358 to use the more common size bullets and it should be a bit "calmer" to shoot than the 450, but just never got around to it....

Reboring to .358 sounds like the ticket. Jes at 35caliber.com could do this easily for $225.....But I'm going to keep this one original and order a mold from Accurate Molds.
