Did anyone end up with a butcher knife in their gear?

I can't find my good one, I swore I put it somewhere it would travel safe and now I can't find the dang thing.

Yes Sir!  Always seems like a good place, until you go to find the "dang thing"! Maybe it will get better as we age gracefully!(or not!)
It is far better to remain silent, and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt!

I think the worst possible place to put something is "where it's safe and I won't loose it". That will be the last time you see it, until you're looking for something else.

I'm missing a magazine for my 1911.  But I can't blame it on the Muster; just myself.

Books, obviously you need to start searching for something else, with no thought at all to the magazine. That's the only way to find it.

The lost is found, was in the blue box but was in the compartment with the door where I keep the dish soap and the other cleaning stuff.   Am doing some repain and it rattled and there it was. ;D

Got some other knives cleaned up and will use them for trips, this one is a 1880's vintige made in Sheffield England By Crissmann and has never been touched with a grinder.   Wife and neice gave me heck cause I took it and then didn't bring it back, they like it for watermelons.   ;D

Did good, got the wife using cast iron and loving it, now got her hooked on good carbons steel knives.   :D
