I woke up early this morning, We didn't get the rain last night. A 60 percent chance this morning. I would trade the yard mowing for the rain.

Finished the boning knife today, it's not in the picture.   Got a few more to do, most well stock the kitchen, got two chefs knives, medium one for the kitchen, the big one for the camp box.

Need to get better pictures in the light.

One of the next ones is gonna be this old German one, not a real butcher knife, not a skinner but a hybrid.   Half haft, more work, but got a darn nice chunk of 7/8 thick hunk of black walnut.

I put on a pot for the late risers. The rain did not get here yesterday. I got a late start on the yards, so it was noon before I got them done. I had some yogurt and toast for breakfast. No clue for lunch. sonic has 50 cent corn dogs all day tomorrow.

Thanks,TLD ;)

Been up since around 5:30 ish. Just got done repairing my last section of messed up skirting. That stuff is hard to cut when you don't have the proper cutting tools. Two band-aids later........ ::)

It's not all bad, just talked to my shoe repair lady and she has had people asking where I went and if anyone works on hats in Lincoln.

Good Luck on the Interview on Monday, My Friend. They judge folks by the company they keep. I can say that I have the best bunch of friends around. "I got lots of Friends".

Since a couple of months back.

Good luck on the possible new job!

Delmonico

After 15 years they decided they didn't need me, big bosses idea, floor managers were not happy, the one that does the hiring said "WTH is he getting rid of one of my best workers."

We think the old man was making too much money and he thinks he can hire a dumb kid to do my job, btw it ain't working out well, I have spies.

I'll start the pots ;)

Del, Sometimes MGMT thinks they know it all and do some REALLY dumb stuff. Seen evidence of it at my long time work 20 many times. Maybe why that plant is now being converted into little businesses and some sort of apartment/condo deal. 3,000 jobs gone :-\

Mornin'. Took a couple days off, but will have to work Saturday.

Del, here's one to research and add to your book, if you don't have it already, saw on one of my other forums:

Salt rising bread, seems to have been a regional thing, variation on sourdough. never heard of it myself.

New mower blades for the rider came today on the Big Brown Truck. Nobody in town had any, the mower is only 20-25 years old, don't know why they don't carry them. Mows the crab grass down better than the old ones.

Finished with grinding, welding, more grinding and welding, and finally painting the rusted out tractor rim. I'm thinking, if I had to pay someone shop rate for the time I spent on it, then a new one for $270 wouldn't be out of line.....
