As per a request.  The Department of Missouri 2016 Muster  will be held in Iller-noise on 28, 29, and 30 July of 2016.  The location of the muster will be at the Tri County Gun Club which is 5 miles west of Polo, Iller-noise and approx. 4 miles east of Milledgeville, Iller-noise.

Will probably shoot 5 or 6 stages one of which will be "skirmish type" (like at Pitspitr's), others to be a tad interesting.  Camping will be permitted and there are motels which are in Dixon, Oregon and Polo, Iller-noise.

If you intend on camping, do let me know so that I may pass that info to the BOD here at Tri County.

I still need to do some more leg work and will confirm this post ASAP.

In service.

An update...

I have cleared with Bullseye, the trap shooters and the CMP shooters for the dates in July of 2016.  Artillery is a possibility as I have given the owner of the guns an almost 11 month lead, but not for sure.
I now have to re-visit the BOD and give them the corrected dates to secure the shoot.  That will not happen until October.

So, my next post here will be after the BOD meeting on 15 October 2015.  Until then..

Thanks for your reply, Mustang!  And, yes, the trip is understood even going west!!  I still have to do some more waiting from the BOD.  Might have a yes/no in 2 to 3 weeks.  We have over 8 law enforcement agencies using the club ranges in addition to all of the shooting disciplines.  Hopefully I'll have the BOD's answer by December 1st.

And, I'm going to sign this with my real handle which is:  MSGT Long

The BOD at Tri County Gun Club has given the OK for the Dept of Missouri shoot to be held on 28, 29, & 30 July 2016 at said club!!

As of now, we are working to get sign-ups, ads, and other associated stuff in line.  If any questions to be had, please PM me and I'll do my best to get your answers.

Order of presentation as follows:
28 July morning colors at 0700.  Precision rifle (200 yds) @ 0900.  Precision Pistol, B 25 target at same time.  If we get through the rifle and pistol disciplines we will start on the stages.  1700 retire the colors.

29 July morning colors @ 0700.  Will start stages 1 & 2, 3 & 4.  If time permits will start on stages 5 & 6.  1700 retire the colors.

30 July morning colors @ 0700.  Finish all shooting by 1200.  1700 retire the colors.  1800 banquet on site.

Other info: the Tri County Gun Club is the host for this match.  The club house is fully contained and fully furnished.  There are 9 pistol bays covering distances from 25 yards to 75 yards.  One bay (#2) is 35 yards deep X 50 yards wide.  2 rifle ranges 1 @ 200 yards and I @ 100 yards.  You will have an opportunity to get sighted for your long gun.  Your pistol (I am assuming that you know how to use it and sight it) maybe.

Working on getting a volunteer group to do breakfast and lunch.  Motels are in Dixon, Polo, White Pines State Park and elsewhere within 25 miles.  Camping is allowed and I do have authorization for using the camper electrical hook-ups.

If you are planning on coming, please PM me with the following info: Camping; yes/no.  Class as per GAF guidelines.  If you are unsure, no problem we will get you in order.  There will be a prize table too similar to what Pitspitr runs.  Yes cost is $75.00 same as the Grand Muster.

Any questions contact me and I'll get you an answer!

2016 Grand Army of the Frontier Department of Missouri Muster
The 2016 GAF Department of Missouri Muster will be held in Illinois on 28, 29, and 30 July of 2016.  The location of the muster will be at the Tri County Gun Club 3441 Brookville Road, Polo, IL 61064 which is 5 miles west of Polo, Illinois and approx. 4 miles east of Milledgeville, Illinois.

This Muster will be open to anyone in the GAF. If not currently a member you can "enlist" at the muster. Membership in the GAF is free and easy. It is not necessary to have a uniform or military type weapons. You can shoot your cowboy guns and wear cowboy clothing. We will have a Gatling and a two gun artillery battery at this muster.

Round counts will be dependent on the number of times the shooter needs to shoot at each target to hit the target. This is "clean" match format. 100 rounds for rifle and pistol would be a good plan. We will shoot 5or 6 stages, one of which will be "skirmish type", like the National GAF muster.

Camping will be permitted. Primitive camping as well as RV hookups will be available. However we do need prior registration for camping. Please be advised that there is NO Alcohol allowed on the grounds of the range. This will be strictly enforced. There are motels in Dixon, Rock Falls, Oregon and Polo, Illinois.

The following schedule will be followed:

28 July morning colors at 0700.  Precision rifle (200 yds.) @ 0900.
Finish all shooting by 1700.  1700 retire the colors.

2 rifle ranges 1 @ 200 yards and 1 @ 100 yards.  You will have an opportunity to get your long gun sighted in.

If you are planning on coming, please PM me with the following info: Camping; yes/no.  Class as per GAF guidelines.  If you are unsure, no problem we will get you in order.  There will be a prize table too similar to what Pitspitr runs.  The cost is $75.00 and includes the banquet. Arrangements are being finalized for breakfast and lunch, there will be an additional cost for those meals.

Any questions contact us and we'll get you an answer! Look forward to seeing you there.

Well, then. It's just as well I can't make it. I really need some muffler bearings for a '63 Falcon, and of course they won't interchange.....
