There will be 4 skirmish runs,  One as shown for the handgun, the rest rifle centric with anywhere between 15 and 25 rifle targets, and 3-7 handgun designated targets.  How many rounds depends on how much you miss . . .

15 round long range,  10 round precision pistol.

I'd say bring a minimum of 150 rifle rounds, and 50 handgun.  Or 200 of either if shooting a one gun class.

They didn't have a round count at the Little Big Horn . . .

;)

If they had, DO YOU THINK CUSTER WOULD HAVE DONE ANY BETTER?

Well, he had a "sort of" round count, when a scout told him there were "more Indians than you have bullets".

But Custer never let a little detail; like that stop him!

Managed to get 81 rounds loaded for the Mauser before buggering up my seating die. Have another on order from Graf & Sons, not sure if it'll make it to me by Wednesday.
55 rounds of 8mm Lebel, so I should be good for revolver rounds.

Oh well, I'll shoot what I can . . . and TRY not to miss a lot.

Just a helpful suggestion R.C.  Maybe adjust your rifle sight before completing the first skirmish!

Would make sense. I had it adjusted for 200 yds., but of course the targets at BRR weren't that far away . . .
overshot quite a bit.

Thanks Scotty.

If I had a suitable cast bullet, I'd bring you some more 6.5X55 just in case, but I only have the Lee/Mid South "Cruise Missile", and at least in my Swede, it has to be seated very deep, the nose portion is too large for the throat. Will have about 100 rounds of Lebel Revolver ammo, though. I'm thinking I'll use the Swede for the long range work, though. Work situation and other obligations have conspired to prevent successfully working up a decent jacketed bullet load in the Lebel, so I'll probably look for a load I've used before in the Swede.

Thanks for the consideration, 'tho, Pony.
No worries. I go to see friends, have fun and shoot a little.

I'm going to fine tune a new dessert on Tuesday, very late 1890's, we may have fatalities, or at least high blood sugar.

River City, I was referring to the difference of your shot to hit ratio between the first and second skirmish of the Muster last year, after Drydock suggested adding a little elevation pilgrim! Thought you were going to run out of ammo on the first skirmish, and you didn't miss on the second!

Oh, . . .OK.
But still partially explains The NE Muster fluster. Did not change sights from last setting. Well, that and with new meds my blood sugar dropped.
