A lotta people staying at hotels for this one it seems. Whats amatter with the campsite-is it DANGEROUS or something? Maybe some weird happenin's of sorts? :D

Shouldn't be a problem for any Soldier or Seaman worth his salt. Especially the Soldier/Seamen! ;)

Good Troy

Chas Isaac,
This will be my first muster.  I'm staying in a hotel...only because my favorite wife, aka Miss Red, aka Mary, will be going with me.    She doesn't mind camping, but she insisted on indoor plumbing.

I can understand that Troy. Lucky you, that she will even accompany you on such an excursion.

My wife will camp with me sometimes, but there HAS to be a modern bath house and only if i get a site right next to it! ;)

Sure you remember Coy. He's the young little guy that makes Ned look Small.

We're counting on you being back Coy!

Gen. Pitspter, with the banquet being held at Fort Hartsuff and many folks wanting time to take a tour, do you think the last stages and awards will run later on Sun. than past musters? Doesn't matter, just trying to schedule time off and give my CO(wife) an estimated ETA. Looking foward to another great event with some of the best people I've ever met. See Ya, Al.

Got me a Colt 1909. revolver for the expansion era match.

I will get a couple of chances to use my 1873 Carbine before the Muster.

I'm jealous. Love those early Colt DA revolvers.

Gentlemen,
Please forgive my tardy responses. Our daughter-in-law gave birth to our first grandson a week ago last Monday and he passed away the next morning. As you can imagine things have been kind of chaotic last week and I'm just starting to get things straightened back out.
Al,
It is possible that we might have to run later Sunday than usual. I really expect to be able to get 3 of the 4 main stages (as well as the Long Range and Precision Pistol) done Saturday and finish up the last stage by Noon Sunday.

The last couple of years we had the Saturday Banquet at 7:00 so I'm thinking that we can give ourselves an extra 1/2 hour of travel time and have the banquet at 7:30. This will still give us a couple of hours of daylight to tour the fort afterward. Now if we can finish up the stages early enough that we can get over there earlier and do the tour first, that's what we'll do. If it's looking like we can't start a 3rd stage and still get to the fort my 7:30 we'll save one of the main stages for the next morning and run it at the same time as the stage near Ft. Scotsman.  Even then we'll most likely finish up by noon Sunday.

Exciting news!
Hornady is sponsoring a bunch of nice door prizes! They haven't gotten here yet, but I got notice yesterday that they have shipped. We may even have a company rep here.

Ah good news and maybe better news or bad news depending on how you look at it.
The good news is as things now stand I should be in the environs of Sargent on 23 Jun.
The mixed news is she who must be obeyed is not on board for dry camping so I will not be able to park on the farm.
We have a spot reserved in the Victoria Springs Recreation Area.
We hope an Old Army Nurse buddy of Anne's will join us there.  This will allow us to see her and provide some one for Anne to do womanly things with whilst I waste my time doing manly things.

I am getting stoked.  Need to spend more time on the range in preparation.
