This begs qualification.  When I lived in Wyoming they used a logging chain as a wind vane.  Until the chain began to indicate wind direction it didn't even qualify as a light wind.

Sorry guys. I should have responded sooner if only to say that I'm checking into your comments and will get back to you. I've been crazy busy the last week, then I came down with some summer bug that makes me want to sleep all the time. I don't quite have everything cleaned up off my backlogged schedule, but I am making progress. I WILL get back to you. In the mean time keep the comments coming. This is how the Grand Muster gets better.

Except Wed I did really loose the onion and the winds according to NOAA was about 45 mph.
