May not add a lot of activity, but I may add some content this afternoon.

After my afternoon session with NRA New Cam and Company, Jake and I retired to the back yard for a little R&R.

A glass of wine, a cigar, a book from my way back past (from Madeleine L'Engle's quintet: A Winkle in Time) 98 degrees, 10% humidity and winds gusting to 5 MPH.  Totally idyllic conditions.  The cigar was for adding smoke to billow in the sunlight between the tree branches.  The breeze made it sound like we were out in the woods even though we're in the suburbs of Reno.

This was our afternoon retreat.

Just finished prepping for dinner tonight.  It's going to be grilled shrimp kabobs on a bed of rice.  The shrimp, mushrooms, cherry 'maters, green and red bell peppers, red onion quarters are now sitting in a marinade in the fridge.  Time to lax out.

We, here in Florida, are coming into our really hot and humid time of year. Can be pretty dangerous for those new to the area.
We also have rain showers and/or thunder bumpers just about every day.
Long time residence hope the rain comes late enough in the day that it helps cool off the afternoon/evening temps somewhat.
Where ever you live across this Nation of ours, I wish you all well! This summer is going to be a hot one. Be careful out there, wherever you are and/or are going.
My best,

concerning those storms Blair alluded to...they can be strong....often high winds , heavy rain and severe lightening
They can be brief or even skirt around you.... or they can cause damage.

We are receiving an unexpected heavy rain shower tonight. It has cooled things off, but it will be humid tomorrow.

Kabobs turned out great last night.  Had so many shrimp, 'rooms and other stuff on the skewers that we decided to forego the bed of rice.  Still had a bit of leftovers (had them for breakfast).

I'll throw some water and coffee on as long as I'm up.

Must have been one hell of a dream!!  ;D

Went to one of the local farmer's markets this morning to get some corn on the cob for grilling with the filet mignon tonight.  Add some baked 'taters and vegies and we should make it through the night ok.

I can relate,M2. Just went through a bone density test at the request of my Doc. Mentioned to him that I was losing teeth and the Dentist had said that I was loosing bone mass in my jaw. :o

Have had over an inch and a quarter of rain since sometime over night here. Flood warnings up until tomorrow. Temps are in the upper 60's ::)

That sure doesn't sound like a good thing, especially for the trumpet playing.

Had to go this week and get my eyes checked, had sudden bunch of "floaters" and light flashes. Exam showed no retina damage, so I just have to "keep an eye" on it. First time I ever had my eyes dilated, it was a sunny day and WOW even with sunglasses it was waaaaaay bright outside.
