Found me a 15' x 7' aluminum tandem axle trailer. I'm thinkn' of makin' it into a covered wagon for advertising and camping at events. What I need is a durable white cover for over the arches. I was thinkn' used highway sign covers but they don't want to sell them because of the advertising on them. I'd put the advertising side down but they don't offer used covers. Any ideas on how to cover my wagon at a reasonable cost, or for free?  I'd be using the "wagon" at annual matches to help me advertise, camp and sell my Big Lube® Black Powder Supplies.

Have you considered the wind stream effect on the canvas cover, I am old enough to have had many journeys on the old M37  3/4 Ton. That cover did flap!

My daughter thinks I should put a varda on the trailer.

Your Daughter is very wise.  Superb idea.  As long as you keep the wheels and tyres on it, it remains a vehicle.

Hmmm One of my 'rehab projects" after my coronary adventure a few year back was to build a large yard barn. I got a kit from a local lumber yard and had a great time building it. Turned out as a hip roof barn, with two lofts it in and four windows with a double, barn style, door. Looking at that trailer, I'm thinking one of those "big yard barns" might be just the ticket to top that trailer with. You could check with local lumber yard outlets and see what dimensions are available. You could end up with some thing like a "tiny House" for cheap. Mine was intended to be my shop and reloading room.........ended up being my wife's office and fair weather sleeping quarters for the boys.

Thanks Pards,

I'm still in the planning stage.  Your suggestions are very welcome.  I do intend to sell my black powder supplies from this wagon and use it for advertising at annual shoots.  I'm thinkn' of setting up a bullet casting demonstration on the back porch.  For that I'd need either AC or a generator to run the pot.  Hmmm, things are coming together.

Shoot!  I'd like something like that in my backyard up on blocks.  That'd be my reloading/workshop shed!  It'd help keep me outa' the better half's hair.   ::)  Gotta' have electricity though so I could have my coffee pot goin'...as well as my lead pot.  Good luck with it DD.  You've got a good idea brewin'.

Add some removable "skirts" to hide the undercarriage and it could pass as a cabin.  Paint it to look like a stone foundation.

Dang!  The deal fell thru.  The old guy with the trailer doesn't want to sell it now.  Perhaps later, but for the immediate I'm back to the drawing board.
