Those are some real thumpers. All but the 4 3/4" gun exceed the SASS velocity guidelines (1000+FPS). But who's gonna tell on you once those babies go BOOOOOM!!  Smiles and head shaking all around, I say.

Those numbers really surprised me!  :o  I really grinned like an idiot shooting those. THOMP!

I am not fortunate enough to be in SASS due to location and health. What are their requirement for their loads?

Perhaps it's time to revive the warthog category. Any support for another child board?

SASS loads are not to exceed 1000 FPS in pistols nor 1400 FPS in rifles.

To be a warthog you must fire the following; A pistol carbine cartridge. The caliber must begin with a '4" (.38-40 qualifies.) Loaded to maximum service load. It was very popular in a former forum called "The Open Range".

Oh yes please! I like the idea of that. It is my primary interest shooting historically accurate load and firearms.

I would like to shake your hand in appreciation but bet yours is pretty sore after shooting those loads!! Did you notice any difference in the guns/cartridge cases in terms of fouling, cleanup, etc?

They certainly were thumpers!

These were my first Olde Eynsforde loads I have tried after using the Goex powders. Fouling was significantly reduced compared to Goex, cases were cleaner than usual of soot, Could shoot 4-5 cylinders with no drag or a quick breakdown and moosemilk clean. Never had to do it at all! The fouling did feel a bit damp but it may be SPG off the Big Lubes.

Sure did make me grin!
