OD#3

I got it put back together today.  I traded a haircut for some tig welding on the wedge, and I dressed it to size.  It snugs the barrel up very well.  We'll see how it holds up.  I had to make the frame pins, and they ended up being much more difficult that I expected.  I spent a lot of time dressing them down to size and making a hollow-nosed pin setting punch.  Then I tackled the action.  This has got to be the absolute roughest action I've ever encountered on a six gun!  I spent many hours with stones on the usual "fluff & buff" stuff, and the hand is still dragging hard in its window.  But the endshake is gone, the timing is excellent, and I'll test it out on the range before I put any more work into smoothing things up more.  Maybe I'll tackle replacing the hand spring with a frame plunger.  Anyway, thanks for all the advice.  And if I may offer some of my own,  don't buy a Uberti open top sight unseen
