So... does anyone else here have an IAB ? I have read the reviews that I have found and they do go from one side all the way to the other. Still for the money I spent I will be optimistic and always grateful for the opportunity  considering I have not shot her yet. And I am just going to be shooting for fun .....But isn't that why we all shoot ?  ;D  Really at this point as long as I can hit what I am aiming at and can maybe put some meat in the freezer I am a happy camper. If I get to have the time and opportunity to compete I'll cross that river when I get to it.

Major 2

You may find some owners here
http://www.cascity.com/forumhall/index.php/topic,43430.0.html

I've owned Shiloh (2) , Garrett (1) , Pedersoli  (1)  and 2 originals,  all were percussion except the Pedersoli which was 45/70
and all were carbines except one of the Shiloh's ( Berdan's Military Rifle the other was a Robinson Sharps Carbine by Shiloh )

I think I had an IAB  once also the percussion Military Rifle,  I had taken in trade and sold ....

I can offer no real life shooting experience with an IAB , sorry

when planets align...do the deal !

I will admit that I am a bit disappointed that this is not a Pedersoli Sharps. I saw the EMF stamp and looked it up and all the info I found said EMF sold Pedersoli. I did not dig deep enough. I can say that after removing the breech block it seems that the parts are kinda rough . Solid and everything works smooth but a little rough. You can see the tool marks in the picture I posted.  The case hardening on the receiver looks very nice and the stock checkering and finish are decent. Not quite the quality of my other Pedersoli Winchester 1873 but not bad. my Deluxe 1873 in .45 LC is a thing of beauty.  The barrel rifling on the Sharps looks good as far as I can tell.  It has a flip up pronghorn rear sight on the barrel , a globe front sight and the Tang Creedmoor style sight looks like a cheap one but it seems to work smoothly.
I really need to shoot it when the weather breaks and I can get to a range . All the negative reviews online about IAB are bumming me out  :o  . Still there are some folks that say they have them and they shoot well. Really that is all I want. Fit and finish are always nice but as far as I feel it looks great.  :)

:D I finally shot my IAB. Sharps today. I used the handloads I put together with the Trailboss . I am very very pleased. In my opinion it shoots great.  I wasn't at the range but was at a friend's property . At 50 yards while braised against a shed I got  2 inch group with 4 shots .  I look forward to making some more loads and taking it to the range on a bench to see what I can do.
Took my son with me and he really enjoyed taking a couple shots. It was the first time I ever used a double set trigger. Wow. Very nice.

A big Thank you for the help with identifying my rifles maker. I really do appreciate the folks on these forums.  That will be a help with finding parts if I need to.

 ;D
So I have been cruising the back pages of this BROW Forum and have found a lot of great information on IAB Sharps. I feel silly now for all my confusion and anxiety about the IAB rifles. :-\  THANK YOU for all your patience as it seems the topic has been ridden hard a few times.
:D I am still pleased to have this rifle and am looking forward to shooting it . If I get to the point where I can shoot with other Sharps shooters I will not hesitate and am sure it will be a fun time as well as a learning experience.
I really enjoy the CASCITY community for all my vintage shooting needs. This site has helped me a few times with my other rifles and pistols as well as reloading. See ya'll soon.
