Made Corned beef and cabbage with potatoes in the slow cooker.I know I'm a day late but I didn't get it from the off site pantry in time.Was real good,only 4 slices left from a 3 pound hunk of meat.

My corned beef is history. Done o'er potatoes 'n carrots. Don't tell the fat lady but the liquid was beer. She thought it was delicious - 'n she was right.

Been on hatch watch. Boys, we gots us a bird! All the behavior we need ta see is there. The female was actin' like 'nother was tryin' ta get out the shell this afternoon. Ain't got no way of knowin'. Be two er three weeks fore the younguns can shuffle on their hind ends 'nuff ta get ta the bump rails 'n look it the world.

Gonna try ta skip tomorrow. Got some crap here I gotta take care of.

Been off line since Saturday, wife picked up a nasty trojan. Tech suggested since we were on XP, that it would be a good time to upgrade and get on W-7. So, new unit with W-7, and a bunch of catching up/resetting things.

31 here, still dark. Bug is saying light wintery mix, haven't been outside yet

Thanks for the Cawffee this morning. I slept in again. We had a good time at Outback last night, and the steaks were cooked perfect. I thought that we should go somewhere special for our anniversary celebration. More rain is predicted today. I have errands to run today, I hope that I don't get too damp.

Not too bad out. Waitin' for the guessed on rain for tomorrow. Might be early.

Bein' assured at least one bird's hatched, reserved taday for neglected stuff. Grabbed the new garage door spring 'n went ta the barn. Found the come-along right away. Trouble findin' the chain 'n S hooks I wanted ta use. Found them the last place I used 'em.

Cable 'n pulley was good. Used the old wooden six foot step ladder I swore I'd never use again. Needed three hands but got stuff hooked up with just two, raised the door. Jammed the door so it wouldn't fall. Hung the new spring,  Everything's lovely...........

Went ta release the come-along. Nope. Little pin on the release lever broke. Rats!! Force a screw driver in, release the release then 'n pull the cable lose.

Ok. Now, find a solid place ta hook the come-along ta stretch the spring. Find it. Move the chain, move the ladder, hook the come-along in, crank – it ain't takin' up. What the hell? Still got the screw driver hung in it. Pulled it out 'n stretched the spring. Slid the pulley inta place.

Took forever ta back off on the come-along with the release busted.  Managed to ease the assembly in place. Unhook everythin'. Door moves a few inches 'n stops. Freakin' idiot left the bolt jammin' the door open in the roller track. Take the bolt out. Door werks like it has good sense.

Ain't cold out at all. Doin' chicken noodle soup anyway.

Arcey, I am glad that you got the door repaired. I got my errands done and had some Tex-Mex for lunch. No clue for supper tonight.

Moose warmed up the leftover Roast for supper, with the carrots, potatoes, and English peas. The weather folks are predicting rain all weekend, starting tomorrow. Victoria will be disappointed if she doesn't get to go to the Park on Sat. Or Sun.

Just day to day stuff around here, get the grandkids off to school, go to part time work and come home and do chores, rewind and play again tomorrow. I didn't think retirement was supposed to be this way, but life has a way of changing plans.

Thanks for the Cawffee this morning. I started a pot myself, it feels like a 2 pot morning. No plans for breakfast, just black Cawffee. No plans for lunch or supper.

Add an egg to that Bacon Sandwich for Breakfast this morning. I got all my errands done yesterday, nothing to do, but drink Cawffee. I am enjoying the nice weather, the trees and bushes are budding out. I hope that Spring is really here to stay.
