Some good Navy/Marine Corps stuff here, including the largest cache of Rolling blocks I've ever seen!  The recently discovered stuff starts around halfway down.

A couple of questions and comments: I presume the middle photo at the top of the group is the Maine after they raised her? Also, other photos show a partially "sinking" ship. Is that the Maine being raised or when they re-sunk her?  Wonder if those rolling blocks were 7mm Mauser used by some of the Spanish irregulars?
Ride to the sound of the guns, but watch out for bushwhackers! Godspeed to all in harm's way in the defense of Freedom! God Bless America!

The first one is indeed the Maine after her raising.  The others are of sunken Spanish ships, mostly in Manila Bay.  I'd be very surprised if the Rolling Blocks were anything other than 11mm Spanish.

Sargent closest to the camera's about to get a talking to-he's either not buttoned his second button, or it's missing.
