Pseudo intellectuals, to include the ubiquitous 'yuppie,' have to use there own lofty terms. They need to feel well educated to make up for their insecurities. Witness those speaking of the majestic, powerful Bald Eagle:

Our favorite former TV news/weather entertainment turned radio talk show host, Village Idiot, Jr., told us of unthawing door locks this mornin'. What in the flyin' horizontal boogaloo is unthawin' but to freeze?

These people are all hydrated.

White chili was flavorful but it weren't chili. Closer to Chicken 'n bean soup, which ain't a bad thing. Needs 'nother can of Navy beans in it 'n a can of diced tomatoes. Gonna do it that way soon. Don't know what I did or didn't do different but the cornbread was real nice this time.

You are so laughable it ain't even funny, you keep grasping at straws when it's pointed out you don't even come close to knowing what you pretend to.  If you knew anything about business you know it's hard to drop an old line product because of their policy changes.  So best you go back to the chuck wagon thread and pretend there you know more than you do.

Vacation next week  

I took the time block back in November, when I just knew ! I was going to the NCOWS convention.
I had my hotel room too.

Well life does rear up and dash such plans, 1. and foremost , my travel & co driver ,Dads medical issues  
cause us to rethink,- 2. then the cost of the flight   should I go alone, was sticker shock..
Not to mention, the flight times form Orlando, forced an added night because the flight doesn't fly every day of the week..
something to do with, Springfield being secondary destination, as far as Orlando or Sanford  airports were concerned.
3. Then if I drove alone some 19 hours , that would suck.

On the other side John ( co driver ) Chevy Equinox transmission took a crap ,
imagination that , we're on the road somewhere between BF Egypt and Cairo, I'll ..two flatlanders from palms & sand country
in what has been icey, snowy, sub freezing temps from Atlanta on up & west...
And the freaking Transmission pucks, in our chosen conveyance  
They find our ol ass's frozen stiffer than a Grand Viagra Convention.

Sometimes' it's just best to go with the hint's you're dealt..  

Course on the bright side I'm on vacation, have the extra unused travel cash ... hmm.. maybe something else (toy)  to shoot.

I had to get out in the snow, sleet, and ice to run some errands. I spent about 2 hours in it, The snow is starting to stick and the streets are getting slick. I am home and safe. The schools are dismissing at Noon. I expect Moose to be home in a while. The Cadillac is all wheel drive and traction control, so I am not worried about her getting home safely. I am in for the weekend, and preparing to hunker down. The temp is 22 right now.

Update from San Fernando Slims grand daughter...
"While awaiting triple bypass surgery scheduled for Monday, early this morning while attempting to use the bathroom my grandfather suffered another attack and was found down @VBMC. CPR was started, he was brought back and rushed to emergency surgery this morning. He did well during surgery and is in ICU sedated and breathing on the ventilator. He DR said he did ok but is not out of the woods yet. Please pray for him that he is able to come thru this and pray that his brain is okay as we are unsure if he hit his head when he went down."

Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
