The Cawffee is tasty this morning. The Sun is up, but it looks cool outside. Victoria is lobbying for a trip to the Park this morning. She likes the cool weather. We are having a late breakfast, after they return from the Park. The Roast is prepped and the veggies are ready to go in. I may have to brew a second pot of Cawffee this morning.

POed. Weren't gonna mess with the birds. Sponge scrubbed the tires 'n wheel's in the garage. Went ta the brushless car wash. Had towels to dry it off. Damn thing busts when the truck in front of me was in it.

Clerk says, 'No problem. Here.' Hands me a receipt with 'nother code on it for the upgraded wash. 'It's good for the next thirty days.'

Don't want the freakin' car wash in thirty days. It's gonna be warm taday 'n I can mess with it outside. Want it..... NOW!

It's fulla gas. Can't go to the other one 'less I wanna pay full price.

Arcey, It Bees that way sometimes! The breakfast tasted good. Moose baked some biscuits to go with some cinnamon-Apple butter that I bought. It was good as well. Major, I do not envy you with all that snow coming. Stock up on and firewood, if you have a fireplace, and hunker down till it is over with.

Wasn't the Field Marshall that broke it, but it might.  One nice day I need to wash it though, got anti-freeze all over the drivers side when it went south going to Stu's funeral.  Won't till it's warm enough it won't freeze shut over night.

Let's hope that warm weather comes soon to the Great Plains. The Roast and veggies are simmering in the Dutch Oven and the smells are creeping into the Den from the Kitchen.

Thanks Y'all,Have a 4 Lb roast in the slow cooker myownself,trying one of the slow cook sauses you pour over the meat and wait.Will let Y'all know how it comes out.

The Roast should be ready about 1900 tonight. Major, I hope the sauce turns out good on your roast. We should be able to get at least 2 meals out of our roast. It usually tastes even better on the second meal. I enjoy the potatoes, carrots, and onions too.

Haven't tried any of those slow cook sauces , usually use a onion soup mix or concentrate and beef concentrate.
Course potatoes & onions & carrots are a must....Dang now I want that...

M2, You will be hungry again in about 15 minutes after you finish eating the Chinese takeout. Our Roast should be ready to eat in an hour or so.

The clouds are sweatin' quite well this afternoon.  Not up to being called a good rainfall yet.  Still almost 50 and a warm overnight low, but then things drop for the next  couple of days.  Glad it's Pizza Sunday so I don't have to fire up the grill.

Ain't thinkin' the truck in there busted it, think it just picked then ta quit. Nice ole fella with a much better attitude 'bout it than I did.

Ennyways.....

Keep y'all fingers cross for a few old fools, me included, what look up a lot. Baxter 'n Princess Anne ain't gotta egg in the nest, they're doin' a good impersonation. Between four us we watched the nest almost four hours. Saw a couple shift changes 'n behavior consistent with egg rollin' every half hour or so. She was still there 'bout dark. Late 'nuff if she was gonna fly to her night time roost she'd ah gone. Answered a couple thousand questions for passers by. Almost told one kinda smart ass we was waitin' for the mother ship ta take us back ta Kripeton III. Someone else talked ta him.

Usually put the carrots 'n 'taters under the roast. Mushrooms o'er everything then dump the contents of a 26 ounce canna cream of mushroom soup o'er it all. Six ta eight hours on low. Let it rest ten minutes er so n there's no need for a knife. Two forks 'n pull off whatcha want. The aroma 'bout three hours in'll cause ya ta chew the wall paper.

Did a big can of Kroger store brand beef stew. Didn't have time for nothin' else.

Well I join the working world again tomorrow. Need extra money with the daughter n grands living here. Will be doing IT work for the Housing Authority out this way. We will see how it goes.

Mom is still weak and tired, taking it day by day.

Roast came out great,will do it again.Have enough leftover for another meal.The evil white stuff started falling around 2:30,got a couple inches so far.Schools in the area have already shut down for tomorrow.Not too happy about that.will update later.Y'all have a good night.
